God’s way of taking care of His people and fulfilling His Gospel agenda is through biblical Stewardship and the tithes and offerings of His people. Stewardship is the management of all that God has given to us for our good and His glory (1 Cor.4:2). God owns it all and has entrusted some to you (Ps.24:1). As a reflection of gratitude, obedience, worship, and participation, God calls His people to bring 10% to the storehouse and offerings as He prospers (Lev.27:30; Deut.14:28-29; Prov.3:10; Mal.3:8-11). The storehouse uses God’s resources to:
- Support its shepherds and ministries (1 Cor.9:1-14; 2 Cor.9:10-15)
- Supply the needs of the saints (2 Cor.9:12)
- Support the work of missions (Acts 1:8; Phil.4:15-18)
Financial contributions to The Church at South Mountain (CASM) can occur in many different ways, including:
- Placing your gifts in an offering basket during any worship service
- Establishing an automatic withdrawal from your checking or savings account
- Mailing your contribution to the church office
- Giving online via eCheck or debit card
We encourage you to give cheerfully, generously, and faithfully to the many ministries and mission of the church. Further details for each giving option are provided below:
1. Place your gifts in an offering basket during any worship service.
We provide offering envelopes to any contributor who chooses to use them. Envelope information also helps our Stewardship Team to quickly and accurately record given amounts to each contributor when counting collected offerings each week.
2. Establish an automatic withdrawal from your checking or savings account. CLICK HERE for the Authorization form.
Since many people choose to conveniently pay their mortgage or utility payments each month through automatic withdrawals from their checking or savings accounts, CASM also provides regular givers the opportunity to have a portion of their tithes and offerings deducted automatically from a pre-arranged account using the ACH system. If you would like to arrange for automated contribution withdrawals:
- Download, print, and complete CASM’s Automatic Withdrawal Authorization form.
- Attach a voided check or savings deposit ticket of the account that will be debited monthly.

4. Give online via eCheck or debit card.
You can use our online giving tool to make a single payment or to set up a recurring payment schedule. In addition to making a contribution, you can track past giving.
Our online payment tool is integrated with Fellowship One (our church database). CASM encourages online giving via the “eCheck” payment option from a checking or savings account. We also allow giving via debit/credit cards like Visa and MasterCard. However, we encourage you not to use credit cards unless you plan to pay off your card in full each month—we are debt-averse at CASM, and do not want to contribute to anyone else going further into debt. We strongly discourage those who have ongoing credit card debt from tithing via a credit card.

Q: Is it safe to give online?
A: Yes. In many ways, giving online is safer than writing a check because an electronic gift cannot be lost or stolen. The security of the system is continually managed by Fellowship One.
Q: From what types of accounts may I give?
A: You may give online using your checking or savings account; or MasterCard or Visa Debit/Credit Card.
Q: Are there any fees involved with giving online?
A: Not to you. You will not pay any fees with an online gift.
Q: Can I make a one-time contribution?
A: Yes. The system allows you the option of either making a one-time contribution or setting up a recurring contribution. For a one-time contribution, you can designate that the contribution should be made immediately or, for both one-time and recurring contributions, you can schedule the contributions to come out of your bank account on the date(s) specified by you.
Q: If I want to set-up a recurring gift, what are my options for frequency of my gift?
A: For recurring gifts, you have the option of giving monthly, twice a month (1st and 16th), weekly, and every two weeks.
Q: Can I change my personal information or the amount or the frequency of my gift once I have set it up?
A: Yes. You can change or cancel your contribution at any time before the date of your next contribution. Simply log into the system using your user name and password and make the necessary changes in the system.
Q: Can I review my donation history online?
A: Yes. The site will allow you to view the complete history of your contributions, given either online or otherwise. Once you’ve created an account, you will able to contribute immediately. However, for security purposes, before you can see any past contributions, we must manually connect your online account with your previous giving information. This is a one-time process when you initially create your account. After that, you can view your history at any time. For more information, see our security policy.
Q: Will I still receive regular contribution statements from the church?
A: Yes. The church will continue to send year-end contribution statements to your address on file for tax purposes. In addition, you will now be able to print a year-to-date copy from the online giving website at any time.
Q: Can I designate my gift to a particular cause?
A: All gifts will go into our regular giving fund, which is used to support The Church at South Mountain's many ministries. On occasion, opportunities will arise to give toward specific causes, such as short-term missions trips, building projects, youth summer camps, and other ministry enhancements. When those opportunities become available, you will have the option to designate online a specific amount towards those causes.
Q: How will I know that I set up my gift correctly?
A: Immediately after submitting your contribution, you will receive an e-mail verifying your contribution.
Q: Does it matter which Internet browser I use?
A: No. Any of the leading browsers will work.
Q: What if I'm not a CASM member, but want to make a donation?
A: We would be blessed to receive your gift, above and beyond your normal giving to your own home church. All givers will receive a contribution statement regardless of membership status, assuming we have their correct address information.

At CASM, we use an online database called Fellowship One. The Fellowship One system allows us to provide access to your contribution records and allows you to make donations online. They provide all of the security for the system. This system is used by churches throughout the country and has been fully tested by them.
Fellowship One provides data security using the latest security technology. The following statement is from their security documentation: "[The system] utilizes the most current encryption technology to maintain the security of your data. Every parameter passed in the hyperlinks is fully encrypted. Additionally, the Login module handles passwords using what is known in technical terms as salted hash. In laymen’s terms, this means it would take 50 computers (running constantly) continuously presenting password combinations four years to discover the password."
When you create your account, you will determine your own login ID and password. If you forget your login ID or password, you can have the system e-mail it to you by entering the e-mail address you used when you created your account. If you need help or cannot remember the e-mail address you used, contact the church at: 602-232-2300. You can also change your password at any time.
Please help us keep your information safe by protecting your login information. Access to sensitive personal and financial information can be gained by letting someone else use your account or by leaving the information for someone else to see. CASM will never call you to ask for your login information.
Your information is held securely by the Fellowship One system. This information will remain private and will never be given away to third parties other than to process your scheduled contributions.
You can schedule new contributions at any time and can modify or cancel those contributions at any time prior to the date they are scheduled; however, once a contribution has been processed, it cannot be canceled.
