World Missions

The Missions Ministry of The Church of South Mountain (CASM), following the model in Scripture, puts the church at the center of missionary activity and as the sending agent (Acts 13:1-3).  This is first and foremost a ministry of the Church. With that in mind, the Missions Ministry will function as a part of the overall philosophy and direction of the church. The major objectives of the Missions Ministry are: Evangelism, Church strengthening, and Church planting.

Next Short Term Missions Trip: Philippines 2012

The next international short-term missions trip for CASM is scheduled for the Summer of 2012. The main purpose of the trip is to aid CASM-supported missionaries and organizations that are serving full-time in the Philippines.

“Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Acts 13:2

Sharing the Harvest

Sharing the Harvest is the title we use for the ministries of mercy arm of the missions ministry. We currently have three drives per year—two for food and one for water. The food that we collect goes to the Rio Vista Center and the water we collect goes to the Phoenix Rescue Mission.

Missions Aviation Fellowship

Our Children's Ministry is currently supporting a plane through the Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF).

Missionaries We Support

CASM currently supports Sean Ransom and his family in the Philippines and Louis Contreras and his family in Mexico City, Mexico. Find out more about these missionaries, their families and the work God has called them to.

Missions Trips

In July 2010, we sent our first short term missions team to Cameroon, West Africa to serve the Yong family. Lord willing, we will continue to do short term missions trips each summer.

Missions Offerings

As the need arises and the Elders see fit, we will take special missions offerings to support global missions.
